Under the spell of tango

This festival is the brainchild of some dedicated tango enthusiasts working diligently to boost tango in the Hungarian-inhabited areas of the highlands in southern Slovakia.

Our danceschool

Our dance school was founded in 2010, under the leadership of Melinda Nagy Volner, at the instigation of the parents of folk dance students who also wanted to learn to dance.

Our teachers

Melinda Volneer Nagy is a graduate folkdance teacher from an art school in Dunajská Streda.
Devoted dance teacher Gábor Rácz is a follower of the Veszprém school.

Our dances

In addition to teaching folk dance for children, we also teach Argentine tango, swing, and lindy-hop for adults.

Our invited istructors

We invited the tango instructors from whom we learned and to whom we owe a lot during our tango development. They have already taught at several festivals, held courses, performed and won awards at competitions.

Our trends

We keep in mind the rules and teaching methods of the original Argentine tango salon.
Our invited istructors visited Argentina several times to learn authentic Argentine salon tango from the masters there.
