Learn from one of the best teachers in Hungary

surprise guest from Argentina Georgina Vargas

  • Georgina Vargas is a tango dancer, teacher, and singer with over 30 years of international experience. Based in Buenos Aires, her work integrates dance, pedagogy, and music, approaching tango as a living language of connection, sensitivity, and presence.
  • She has performed and taught worldwide, from Japan to the United States, Australia, and Europe, and has appeared in renowned tango venues and theaters in Buenos Aires such as La Esquina Carlos Gardel. A significant part of her career was developed with Óscar Mandagarán, her life and dance partner. After his passing, she continues to honor and transmit their shared artistic and pedagogical legacy.
  • Georgina currently collaborates with different tango dancers, adapting her style through the embrace, listening, and creativity of each partner.
  • As a singer, she has recorded three albums, available on digital platforms, performs solo concerts with piano, and sings danceable tandas at milongas.

Zsófi came to tango from the world of ballet, tap and contemporary dances through ballroom dancing, in which music was her first particularly exciting experience, as she encountered tango music before the dance itself. András has also spent many years with ballroom dancing and Hungarian folk dance, when – between 1997 and 2000 – he visited Buenos Aires several times, where he got to know tango and founded the first milonga in Budapest with his dance partner at the time, Götz Andrea. In addition to dancing, András plays bass and sings in the Pesti Tangó Zenekar. Together they currently teach tango in Budakeszi on a weekly basis.
